Previous Item Next Item Chapter 5: Robot Sensing

In this Chapter...
You’ll get to know your robot’s powerful collection of sensors: its sonars, its infrared sensors and its tactile, or "bump," sensors. You’ll learn how to access and use feedback from all these sensors in your own application programs, via a collection of function calls.
You’ll also learn about robot position control, that is, how your robot tries to determine where it is with respect to its original position, by keeping track of the revolutions of its wheels.

Before beginning, take a minute to review the layout of your robot, noting in particular the locations of its sensors.
